Seeing Double…

I’m sure that science has come up with a point where the body starts to do funky things due to lack of sleep…calling all scientists…I’m there. Nurse, the IV Coffee drip please, and make it a double.

An update…in the event you didn’t already know…Sox won and my nails are gone.  Depleted.  As if some small starving animal entered the house in the middle of the night and deemed them acceptable and nutritious food.  Arg. I’m all for a tight game….but hey….a little breathing room would have been good!

At LEAST tonight (er….last night?!?) the Rox looked like they came to play, maybe realized that this IS the World Series!  uh..helloooooooooooooo?  That having been said….

With a hesitant start…she queried…uh guys……what’s going on?!? Tighten up…what!?!…er…arg…no…um….grrrrr…..  nibble nibble…….

Rox score first…schilling looks like he’s settling in (finally) and he’s holding them off (a bit).  Team looks tight tonight…more like they are in survival mode than the ease in which they moved in Game 1.  Hey, I’ll take survival over the alternative.

By the fifth inning, the thumnail was down to the quick.  Two outs..gnaw gnaw…Ortiz walks…gnaw gnaw nibble nibble…Manny singles….yelling jumping….ok guys…here we go  we’re on the move…then Mr. Lowell…..our savior for the inning….swoosh….pop….run!  RUN DAMMIT RUN!!!!  YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS…………  Nail safe, runs scored….breathing a little easier….time for a potty break.  And a beer.

Back to the game….bases loaded….head swirling….moving on to index finger….nibble nibble gnaw gnaw….ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Varitek with a can of corn….grrrr.

Thanks to pap and okajima for bringin it to a close, cinching a win for Shilling and moving us on IN THE LEAD for game 3.    It will be interesting to see what transpires with Papi, will they sit him or someone else….of course, with the way we’re pitching, it may not matter (no offense papi….you know how I adore you) cuz baby….we’re SHUTTIN EM DOWN!

So Saturday we’re in CO with Daisuke on the mound. Like him, but wish he was more predictable.  Leaving Fenway is sad, I’d love to see the boys win it at home (and for my poor hands, take it in four) but hey, I’ll take a win at Coors Field!  Between now and then, there has to be a major nap in MY ballpark or I’ll never make it.

For your viewing pleasure today, I offer you this. Guess I WASN’T the only one!!!
